After University I enlisted into the infantry joining 1st Battalion, The Princess of Wales’ Royal Regiment’ based in Paderborn, Germany. During this time, I deployed to Afghanistan on Operation Herrick 15 and promoted to Corporal. Whilst in the PWRR I represented my Battalion and Regiment at Swimming, competing in Europe. I was also selected to represent the Army in Open Water Swimming. Highlights include winning the British Army Swimming Championships and swimming the English Channel with my relay team, receiving Battalion ‘Swimmer of the Year’, and being awarded Full Colours – the highest award for sport in the British Army. I’m now a family man with an amazing partner, beautiful daughter, and fastest Whippet in the world. Fitness is a big part of my family, whether running around Kenley Aerodrome with my dog, doing a workout in the garage with my girlfriend or handstands in the garden with my daughter. I use a multi-modal training approach – work with me and see how much you can do with a single kettlebell and set of bands within the space of a fitness mat.
